We were totally happy with the fastboat service. Large sturdy boats that are built for the rough waters out there! My only gripe and it is quite a big gripe, is that you get totally ripped with the 'free' shuttle service. We were told that if we took the free service, it would take 3 hours to Ubud and if you take one of their private drivers, just one hour. Then they proceed to try to rip you off for as much as they think you will pay. Starting at 500K for us! Please arrange your own transport in advance. The drivers totally let the whole company down with their shady deals.

No concerns at all regarding booking agent, Ratu Gede. Booked online from Australia for travel from Bali to Gili Meno.
Used Ekajaya Fastboats. They picked up almost on time to transport to port from Ubud. Disorganised and confusing at the port. Our driver who picked us up for Ekajaya said he would sort tickets, which hhe did, but we felt concerned that it wouldn't work out.
Boat trip itself was comfortable enough and close to on time. On arrival at Gili Meno the boat didn't go into the port. We had to transfer precariously onto a punt (with many people crammed on trying to balance), then confusion with getting everyone's luggage, then were brought into shore. Chaotic, as happens in Asia, but worked out fine.

The ferry service was pretty good overall. We departed on time and the inside was air conditioned and comfortable. The only downside was that we had to make many stops along the way which were quite time consuming. The overall trip took around 5 hours because of this.
